Function: Administrator / Controller

Tasks & responsibilities


- Supervision of all accounting and financial reporting activities
- Preparation and interpretation of monthly cash flow and financial reports, and quarterly reports to holding.
- Review monthly and quarterly financial vessel reports
- Prepare and review monthly accounts analysis and year-end audit schedules
- Ensure compliance with IFRS rules
- Ensure timely payment of allotments and Officer wages
- Processing and booking of monthly Office payroll
- Prepare and book monthly personnel allocations and payroll tax
- Maintain fixed assets database and depreciation
- Conduct risk assessment to ensure financial prudence
- Ensure prompt billing of fees and working funds, pre-funding and re-charges.
- Review monthly payments to suppliers and ensure compliance
- Act as the bank signatory for on-line payments
- Review monthly timetable for accounts department to meet report schedule
- Review monthly VAT reports
- Liaise with bankers, external and internal auditors.
- Management of Xelion time management system
- Provide financial advice to vessel managers as and when requested

Authorities

- may request insight in and check upon the financial matters of the vessel management from the Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents and Purchasers at all times;
- may inform the Fleet Manager and Superintendents, asked or unasked, on any financial matters which do not comply with the  Management System or the  Corporate Handbook;
- may request information from project managers and/or others responsible with respect to the chartered vessels from other Opcos.
